JOHN TERRY warns Southampton defender Virgil Van Dijk that he doesn’t have a divine right to stroll into the Blues’ team.
The Dutch defender has been consistently linked with moves to Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

With the opening of the January transfer window just a few weeks away, the rumour mill is beginning to turn yet again.
While speaking on Sky Sports, Terry said: “If you look at Liverpool he certainly goes into the starting line-up.
“Arsenal the same. Chelsea he makes their squad better. Man City he goes into that starting XI. Same at Manchester United.
“I think he goes into all them squads and makes them better.”

It was a shock that Van Dijk didn’t leave St Mary’s in the summer, with a deal to Liverpool looking like it was all wrapped up.
Since then he has made his way back into Mauricio Pellegrino’s team, playing eight times in the league so far this season.

Van Dijk was dropped for Southampton’s 1-0 defeat at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.
Aston Villa man Terry said: “If they [Southampton] are demanding £60million, if I were Chelsea I would be saying more like £55m if he’s not getting in their starting XI.
“I know Virg, he’s a top pro. He’ll get the move he deserves. He’ll make that step up for sure.”
