THE US OPEN is one of the biggest dates in the golfing calendar.
The second Major of the year begins at the unusual location of Erin Hills in Wisconsin on Thursday.
And that could lead to some surprising results.
US Open: Diamond bet
DON'T get blown off course in the US Open.
Treeless Erin Hills plays host this year and is completely exposed to the elements.
Anybody worthy of your punting cash needs to be rock solid in the wind.
So take Sun Bets’ 33/1 for Hideki Matsuyama to lift the prize.

So now is the time to back a few each-way shots who could be in with a shot on Sunday evening.
This is the first professional tournament to be held at the course – but there are pointers from previous events.

Peter Uihlein (200/1 – add to your betslip) made the quarter-finals of a Match Play event there at the 2011 US Amateur Championship.
He might claim that will have no bearing on the result – but we’re not buying it.
Yes, the weather will be different (it was dry and hot six years ago) but he’s still got the upper hand having been round the different course.
The 27-year-old stands a decent chance of being in the top six going into the final stages.

Another who’s worth a look is Kevin Chappell (66/1 – add to your betslip).
The 30-year-old won the Texas Open recently and looks like he can bring that good form in this tournament.
He’s also had two top-seven finishes in his last five tournaments so could go very well at the weekend.
We’ve already run through our favourites – and fancy Hideki Matsuyama (33/1) to pick up the main prize (add to your betslip).
