ULYSSES is set to drop back to 10 furlongs for the Winter Hill Stakes at Windsor on Saturday following his victory in the Gordon Stakes over a mile and a half.
The lightly-raced colt, trained by Sir Michael Stoute, returned to form at Glorious Goodwood after having a rough time in the Investec Derby.

“He’s in good form and the plan is to go to Windsor on Saturday. Then we’ll map out his programme after that,” said Alan Cooper, racing manager to owners Flaxman Stables Ireland.
Cooper also reported the Niarchos family’s Erupt to be in fine form ahead of a possible return to action in the Grand Prix de Deauville at the Normandy track on Sunday.
The four-year-old colt, trained by Francis Graffard, was a respectable fifth to Highland Reel in the King George at Ascot last month.
“He’s in good form and he’s a possible for the Grand Prix de Deauville at the weekend. He’s in good shape,” said Cooper.
