RUSSIA landed another blow on English soil with Brit UFC heavyweight Mark Godbeer getting choked out by Dmitry Sosnovskiy.
The Bridgwater giant made a decent start to the London Fight Night opener but he was overpowered in the second round and forced to tap out via rear-naked choke.

The first round was the perfect kick-off with two heavyweights north of 6ft going toe-to-toe and throwing bombs.
Both tried to make inroads with low kicks from and when they did not work, heavy hands were exchanged.
The Taunton-based puncher pinned his man his man against cage but was flipped and taken down into a dangerous half-mount.
The undefeated Soviet looked dangerous but resourceful Godbeer was hurling double-handed punches off of his back that left the 28-year-old bloodied.

The second started with another early takedown off the octagon wall but cider-loving Brit was showing off a classy ground game – especially in defence.
Incredibly, with his joint elbow joint bent all out of shape, Godbeer escaped a kimura arm lock.
Sadly for Godbeer – who came into the fight to Parklife by Blur – the rest of the right was a blur of punches and, when he gave up his back way too generously, he was caught in the choke and tapped out.

Godbeer said: “I knew it was going to be a tough fight, I knew he was going to be a strong guy and I knew he was going to try and close the distance but I just wanted to keep the fight going and entertain the crowd, and hopefully we did that.
“I made a few mistakes and I know what those mistakes were.
“Hey, this is the UFC – people are at the top of the game – if you make one mistake, the fight is over. “I’m gutted to lose but our job is to entertain and hopefully I gave the crowd what they wanted tonight.”
