Joshua, who holds the IBF, WBA and IBO world titles, sparked more war of words when he publicly took to Twitter to call out the 29-year-old.

In a tweet to his 1.65million followers, he wrote: “@Tyson_Fury get fit you fat f***”.

And not one to let things lie, it didn’t take long for Fury to pop up with a response of his own “to the weightlifter.”

Taking to Instagram, Fury said: “This is a message to the weightlifter. Big Anthony Joshua, the big tough man who told me to get fit fat f***.

“It’s a new one because he usually doesn’t swear, he tries to not be himself so he’s being himself now which is good.

“I don’t need to get fit for someone like you at all. I’ll come to you and I’ll punch your face right in for you even at 25 stone. So I really don’t need to get fit for you anyway.

NOT OK AJ Anthony Joshua tells Tyson Fury ‘get fit you fat f***’ in Twitter spat

“I’ve seen what you’re about. You just fought a midget in an arm fight. The referee had to stop it in case you got caught or beat. Bum city like I’ve always said.

“Useless. No gas, no stamina, too many weights. You want to practice on a bit more speed and a bit less power.”

SunSport has reported how Joshua’s promoter Eddie Hearn has already “been on the phone to Fury” to set up a British superfight.

Joshua told Sky Sports: “It’s Anthony Joshua versus the world right now, I have got to fight them all.

“Eddie [Hearn] is right, as a promoter it works well for him, it works well for me and I think it works well for people who want to watch me and Tyson Fury get it on.

“I wish him the best of luck with what he’s going through because we need to see him back in the ring.”

Fury hasn’t fought in the ring since his victory over Wladimir Klitschko two years ago.
