SPURS have been training ahead of their crunch London derby with West Ham on Saturday minus the still-injured Toby Alderweireld.
Despite being boosted by stars Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen being fully fit, big Belgian defender Alderweireld is still absent with a knee problem.

He left the field on a stretcher during the 1-1 draw at West Bromwich Albion on October 15 after taking a knock to his knee and hasn’t featured since for club or country since.
Speaking to Spurs TV about Alderweireld today, boss Mauricio Pochettino said: “From the beginning we believed that it was not a big issue but then it was very slow to recover.


“It was a very strange thing that happened with him and the process is very slow. He is nearly ready – nearly!"
Question marks were raised over the fitness of several players during the international break with Harry Kane being released from the England squad ahead of Tuesday’s match against Spain.

While Christian Eriksen didn’t travel with Denmark for their away friendly against Czech Republic.
But happily for Spurs fans, both were training today at their Enfield training base as Pochettino had a joke with his side, including Danny Rose who played both times for England in their recent matches against Scotland and Spain.

Pochettino added on Kane and Eriksen: “There’s nothing to worry about – they are in a good condition and will be available to be selected for Saturday, no problem.”
As well as Alderweireld, Ben Davies (ankle) and Erik Lamela (hip) remain out while Dele Alli is described as doubtful after picking up a knee injury in training ahead of our 1-1 draw at Arsenal a fortnight ago.

Meanwhile West Ham will have both Diafra Sakho and Winston Reid available for the Whie Hart Lane derby, with the club's lengthy list of injury woes finally showing signs of relenting.
