JOHN VELTMAN has revealed that he is ready to consider pastures new amid growing speculation which is linking him with a move to Tottenham.
The Holland international only has one more year left to run on his current contract and is said to be high on Spurs’ wishlist of transfer targets for next season.

Veltman is an attractive option for Spurs as he is a versatile defender, who can can play either at centre-back or right-back.
If he was to join the North London side that would make him one of three key players to emerge from Ajax’s fabled academy.

In an interview with Dutch news outlet the 25-year-old said:”I have spoken with my agent, but he is unaware of any interest from Tottenham. Vincent Janssen was joking that we will become team-mates, but there is nothing to it as of yet,” Veltman told VI.
“I have one year left on my current contract, so normally I will either renew or be sold. That is only logical. There will be clarity after my holiday – but a transfer is a bigger option than before.”
He added: “Ajax’s offer to renew is a nice gesture, they want me to stay. But this could be the moment for me to look at other options.
“But the right club will have to come along. There is nothing concrete for now, but I am not in a rush.”

Last season, Veltman was an integral part of the young Ajax team that made it all the way to the Europa League final only to be beaten 2-0 by Manchester united.
The team also came agonising close to winning the Eredivisie - but Feyenoord pipped the Amsterdam outfit to the crown by a single point.
The former de Godenzonen's trainee received a lot of negative attention earlier in the year for his unbelievable lack of sportsmanship during a game.
