Tottenham stars Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Harry Kane train ahead of Spurs’ crucial Europa League second-leg clash

TOTTENHAM have been training ahead of their Europa League last-32 second leg with Gent on Tuesday.

Spurs are trailing 1-0 from the first leg in Belgium, knowing nothing less than a win will be enough to reach the last-16 in Europe.

Christian Eriksen and Kieran Trippier were spotted laughing their way through the session – as were Victor Wanyama and Kyle Walker.

Dele Alli showed off his fancy footwork with some neat control, while the rest of their squad went through their drills, as the game crept to just two days away.

Tottenham would have been hoping to have enjoyed a better year in Europe - especially playing their home games at Wembley instead of White Hart Lane.

However, their disappointing Champions League campaign saw them lose three of their games to finish third behind Monaco and Bayer Leverkusen in Group E.

Despite looking on course to seal a Champions League spot for next season based on their Premier League position, Mauricio Pochettino would have been hoping for a run in Europe's second competition.

Yet the surprise 1-0 defeat in Belgium means they'll not only need to go out to score, but also keep it tight at the back or risk being dumped out on away goals.

Spurs have been in poor form recently, despite their 3-0 FA Cup win over Fulham on Sunday.

Before that, the loss to Gent followed a 2-0 defeat to Liverpool, a scraped win over struggling Middlesbrough and a draw with lowly Sunderland.
