Rose has not played since damaging his ligaments in Spurs’ 0-0 draw at Sunderland on January 31.

He will again be missing when Mauricio Pochettino’s men travel to Crystal Palace for their Premier League crunch on Wednesday night.

But the White Hart Lane boss admitted Rose could feature in his second-placed side’s showdown with the Gunners this weekend.

Poch said: It’s so difficult. Next Sunday will be three months since he was injured so we will see.

“Today he started to do some things with the group. We have been careful with him and he is in a good way.

“We hope he will be available soon. Will he be ready for Arsenal? It’s so difficult to say.

“We need to check him and he needs to feel the feeling of competition of being out for three months.

"But the door is not closed and we are flexible.”
