Tottenham injury news: Harry Kane on course to be fit for North London derby after scan is ‘better than expected’

TOTTENHAM hope to have Harry Kane fit for next month’s North London derby.

The England striker has not played since suffering ankle ligament damage in Spurs 1-0 win over Sunderland on September 18.

There were fears Kane could be ruled out for up to ten weeks – but he could be back three weeks ahead of schedule.

And Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino revealed that results of a new scan on the injury were “better than expected”.

Kane could now return in time for his club’s crunch clash with bitter local rivals Arsenal on November 6.

That would be huge boost for Spurs who are unbeaten in the Premier League this season and sit second in the table, thanks in part to two goals from Kane.

And Pochettino's men will welcome the extra manpower after they masterminded a 2-0 win over Pep Guardiola's then-unbeaten Manchester City last weekend.

It would not be good news for the Gunners as Kane has scored four goals in his last four appearances against them.
