A deal for the 19-year-old is expected to be in the region of £8million, according to The Mirror.
Foyth has expressed an interest in playing in Europe, but if a deal is reach the move would be subject to obtaining a work permit.
Tottenham have been on the lookout for a centre-back after Kevin Wimmer admitted he was thinking of leaving the club.
And the Spurs have money to spend after they sold Kyle Walker to Manchester City for a fee on excess of £50million last week.
Foyth can play both centre-back positions as well as midfield.
The young Argentinian is expected to go into Tottenham’s U23 group to wait in the wings of star centre-back, Toby Alderweireld.
