Poch and Co had been chasing the youngster all summer but the deal appeared to fall apart after Tottenham failed to meet the club’s asking price.
However, with Spurs enduring a sticky start to the Premier League season, Pochettino has splashed the cash to land the highly-rated youngster.
Foyth, 19, was also on the radar of big-spending Paris Saint-Germain during this summer’s window.
On the move, Foyth revealed he was thrilled to have the chance at the North London club, saying Poch played a massive role after the pair spoke earlier this window.
The Argentine said: “It’s a club that bets on the young and I think I’m going to have a chance to play.
“I also spoke with Mauricio Pochettino and I liked what he said.
“It was what helped me decide that Tottenham was the right place to continue my career.
