Pulis, twice manager of Stoke, wants another Premier League job after he was fired by West Brom last month.

The former Stoke chief wants Christmas at home with his family before returning to management.

But Stoke are already panicking about their league position after an alarming dip in form under Sparky.

Pulis left Stoke in 2013, but he remains popular with the fans and is still good friends with Coates.
