Tony Adams insists Granada will beat Real Madrid tonight – if Cristiano Ronaldo plays
GRANADA boss Tony Adams expects to beat Real Madrid tonight – but only if Cristiano Ronaldo plays.
Adams, who took charge of the La Liga strugglers in April, watched on as Granada lost to Real Sociedad in San Sebastian, ending their six seasons in the Spanish top flight.

Real Madrid have a Champions League semi-final second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday, and boss Zinedine Zidane is expected to rest his stars tonight.
But Adams insists his opponents will “disrespect” his relegated side if they don’t play their strongest team tonight, and wants midweek hat-trick hero Ronaldo to feature.

Adams said:”When I coached at Portsmouth in 2008, in the quarter-final of the FA cup and Ronaldo played… Portsmouth 1, Manchester United 0.
“I can see it in the stars, 1-0, but only if Ronaldo plays!”
Adams added:”I want their main team to come, I think it’s a disrespect if he throws his B team players in.

Adams continued:"I hope Zidane doesn’t rest any players. I hope he comes with all the stars, because as we found out against Celta Vigo, they rested a few players and the ones that came in ran and played very hard.
"We want to play against their best team and we want to beat their best team, we’ll be giving everything, we’re professional. I’m professional, I’ll be expecting my players to go out there and win.
“Technically we might not be as good, I wasn’t as good as Zidane, but I kicked him all around Wembley once!
"We’re professionals. It’s 100% clear to me, as I’ve said. We’re going to try everything to beat them. We’re going to do all we can. I don’t work any other way.”
