ROMANISED caused a 25-1 shock as he landed the Irish 2000 Guineas.
Ken Condon’s colt stayed on best to get the better of US Navy Flag and came home an impressive winner in the end.
Unbelievably, it was Condon’s first win of the year – and what a way to break a losing run in a Classic.
Result of the 4.10 at the Curragh:
- 1st Romanised 25-1
- 2nd U S Navy Flag 10-3
- 3rd Gustav Klimt 9-2
Where did the favourite finish?
Elarqam went off the 2-1 favourite. He never looked entirely happy and finished unplaced.
DERBY DAY When is the Derby at Epsom, can I still get tickets and who is running?
