THIBAUT COURTOIS has been blasted by broadcasters after skipping a TV interview – due to a stomach bug.
Chelsea’s Belgian keeper was lined up to appear on French show Telefoot on Sunday morning.

But the 24-year-old pulled out at the last minute claiming he had a bout of gastroenteritis – leaving the programme hosts embarrassed and angry.

And they claimed the player’s actions made a mockery of his name, which is the French word for “courteous.”
Courtois was not involved in Chelsea’s 2-0 FA Cup win at Wolves on Saturday, with Asmir Begovic between the sticks and Portugal’s Euro 2016-winning keeper Eduardo on the bench.

Telefoot presenters Christian Jeanpierre and Frederic Calenge fumed: “All we can say is that to let us know like that at the very last minute is not very ‘Courtois’.”
Station editor-in-chief Marc Ambrosiano tweeted: “Unfortunately Thibaut Courtois is suffering from gastroenteritis, and has had to withdraw from appearing on Telefoot this morning.
