THE SUN has saved the world famous Football Year Book.
The iconic sports reference book was in danger of being axed until The Sun stepped in with a two-year sponsorship deal taking it through to its landmark 50th edition in August 2019.

And the nation’s voice of football John Motson said: “I’m thrilled to bits to hear this news. It’s been my bible for the last 48 years and I was gutted when I heard it might not be published next season.
“It would have left a major hole on my bookshelf, given that I have got every edition since the first one in the 1970-71 season.”
The Football Yearbook 2018-2019 in association with The Sun will be published on August 9.
The 2019-2020 version will be published in August 2019 and will be the 50th edition.
