Swansea vs Liverpool: Leroy Fer nets his fourth goal of the season… The Swans have only scored six in total all season

IT took just eight minutes for Swansea to take a surprise lead against Liverpool at the Liberty Stadium, thanks to Leroy Fer.

The Dutch midfielder was inexplicably left wide open just inches from the centre of the goal to prod home from a corner.

With Francesco Guidolin‘s job in south Wales under major scrutiny, it was just the shot in the arm his side needed against a flying Liverpool team, aiming for the fourth Premier League win in a row.

More impressive yet is the story surrounding Fer…

His goal was his fourth of the season, which is impressive for a midfielder in only his seventh game of the season, but even more so when you consider Swansea as a TEAM have only netted six.

Elsewhere, Gylfi Sigurdsson and Fernando Llorente have a goal apiece. And that is it.

With plenty of time on the clock, the Swans may need another moment of magic against a Reds team who love to pile in the goals.

As well as sticking five past Hull in a 5-1 win over Hull last weekend, Jurgen Klopp's Reds have put four past both champions Leicester and Arsenal this season.

Meanwhile in the game, Borja Baston could have had the home side 3-0 up after 20 minutes after missing two golden opportunities - nodding miles over on both occasions.
