Gylfi Sigurdsson could leave Swansea if the club receive a £50m bidRex FeaturesThe Icelandic playmaker has not travelled with the squad on their pre-season tourAction Images Via Reuters
Sigurdsson dropped out of the Swans’ ten-day tour to the US on Thursday morning just hours before the squad’s departure.
The club have revealed Sigurdsson was not in “the right frame of mind to travel” with so much speculation over his future.
Now Swansea owners Steve Kaplan and Jason Levien have said in a statement: “We’ve not received an offer which represents a fair valuation of Gylfi given his importance to us.
“We will not be bullied into a decision until a club meets our valuation of the player, no matter whether they believe they have an agreement with the player.
“Any such agreement would obviously be in contravention of Premier League legislation.”
