And it appears the trouble has been taken into the stands by the Russian supporters.
With a host of flares being lit in the away section of the stadium, a fan used a flare gun to fire one onto the pitch.
It flew through the air at an incredible speed and landed on the half way line just inches away from the referee.
It poses further doubts and question marks over the state of Russian hooligans as they prepare to host the World Cup next year.
Russia's 'Ultras' ran riot at the 2016 Euro's causing havoc in Marseille by launching unprovoked attacks on England supporters.
Liverpool fans will also be concerned with Jurgen Klopp's side due to play both teams in Group E.
