THE Spanish FA want VAR introduced into La Liga for the start of next season despite opposition.
President Juan Luis Larrea is keen to introduce the technology which league counterpart Javier Tebas claims is too expensive.

FA chief Larrea is also keen to shake-up the Copa del Rey’s format for the upcoming campaign.
He told Cadena Ser: “The intention is to have VAR from the first matchday in La Liga next year.
“There is technology coming into football and you have to accept it.”
The proposed changes in Spain’s main domestic cup are aimed at giving smaller teams a chance and reducing fixture congestion.

Mali were denied a goal despite the ball clearly crossing the line in their Under-17 World Cup semi-final against Spain.
The technology was not available in the tournament and could have helped Mali who fell to a 3-1 defeat.
And the USA’s World Cup campaign was ended by a controversial “ghost goal”.
As the Americans lost 2-1 to Trinidad and Tobago, rivals Panama secured victory over Costa Rica by the same margin, with their first strike apparently not crossing the line.
