MADONNA is a big Benfica fan now – because her son David Banda plays for them.
The pop legend is often seen at the Estadio da Luz with David watching the first-team play – where she hopes one day to cheer on her boy.

The Material Girl singer shares photos on her social media accounts from his training games, taking great delight when he is on the winning side.
And it seems the feminine touch works when encouraging their children to get involved in the Beautiful Game.
Here SunSport checks out some other famous soccer mums.
Victoria Beckham
The former Spice Girls singer has watched all her sons, Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz play football in the past.
Presumably husband David, who graced Manchester United, Real Madrid and England, has too much on at the time.
Being married to such a global megastar like David had it’s perks for sure, so it’s only natural she would want her boys to follow in their father’s footsteps.

More footie features
Britney Spears
Another pop sensation, Britney Spears takes time out from songwriting to take her sons Jayden James and Sean Preston Federline for footie practice.
According to The Richest, the “Ooops, I Did It Again” singer even volunteered to be their team’s carpool driver.
She may have had her troubles at the height of her fame, but Britney is clearly eager for her children to have a fun and healthy life.

LAST RITES Final games of doomed Chelsea managers – was Conte’s 4-1 drubbing at Watford his last?
Madonna
The legendary singer’s son David Banda is currently signed up for the Benfica academy in Portugal.
And at the weekend his famous mum will often be found cheering on from the stands wherever he is playing.
The two also attend Benfica first-team games, with Madonna even setting up base in the Portuguse city to give as much support as possible to her son’s development.

SunSport has previously revealed how Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly rang the world famous singer after hearing David could join Benfica’s academy and tried to get her to sign for his old club Sporting Lisbon instead.
But Madge was having none of it, and Estadio da Luz became home.

Kate Winslet
Over in Hollywood, Kate Winslet is often seen ferrying her son Joe to football games, and at the age of 14, it could be make-or-break whether he can pursue it professionally.
Joe is the product of Winslet’s relationship with Sam Mendes, and the parents are often seen cheering him on together from the sidelines.
Always nice when parents get on, isn’t it?

Jennifer Garner
The stunning actress is keen for her children to develop their footie skills without or without Ben Affleck’s support.
Garner is happy to take her children Violet, Samuel and Seraphina to practice, but will any of them make it to pro level?
If not, we’re sure there are some handy acting skills their proud parents can pass on.

Hedi Klum
Heidi Klum will definitely add some glamour to the sidelines when she takes her children to football training.
The model, has two children from her marriage to singer Seal, and one from her relationship with Formula One boss Flavio Briatore is keen to get all her children involved in the Beautiful Game.

Briatore no longer has a relationship with his daughter Lenio Samuel, who he fathered with Klum 13 years ago.
So it is left up to the German supermodel to ferry around her daughter to kick the ball around.

Reese Witherspoon
The Oscar-winner doesn’t seem to age, and it means she can use all her youthful exuberance pitchside as she cheers son Deacon to success on the footie pitch.
The star of hit film legally blonde, Witherspoon might not be recognisable with a cap on, or behind dark sunglasses.
But at least all eyes can be on the skills of 14-year-old Deacon, and not the antics of 41-year-old Reese on the sidelines.
