AFTER a promising Six Nations in 2017 and some wonderful performances in the autumn internationals, hopes are high for Scotland going into this year’s tournament.
Gregor Townsend’s side almost stunned the All Blacks in November before going on to crush the Wallabies in a resounding 53-24 success at Murrayfield.

Their attacking flair was evident throughout the last Six Nations as they plundered in 14 tries – the same as second placed Ireland and just two less than championship winners England.
With home advantage over the French and the English in rounds 2 and 3, the Scots will be confident of another successful campaign and a step in the right direction towards a first title of the Six Nations era.

What is Scotland’s schedule?
GREGOR TOWNSEND takes his side to Cardiff for a tricky opener – before two Murrayfield showdown’s which will likely define the Scots overall campaign.
Last term they used home advantage well, beating Ireland and Wales in Edinburgh, but France and England could prove tough tests.

What are their odds?
AFTER their good form over the past year, Scotland find themselves third favourites for the outright championship behind Ireland and England.
Odds of 9/1 on a Scot triumph look pretty tasty considering the excellent rugby they played during the autumn and the English have to visit the Murrayfield cauldron.
