SIR ISAAC NEWTON clung on grimly to land the Wolferton Handicap.
Aidan O’Brien’s four-year-old hasn’t lived up to his 3,600,000gns price tag so far, but he paid back a little bit of that today.
Second Wave and Revolutionist filled the places.

Moore said: “I had a very good trip round and he’s a high-class horse when things drop his way.
“We thought an awful lot of him last year. The trainer has done remarkably well to get him back winning here today.
“He’s definitely got the ability and hopefully racing will bring him forward and he’ll get better.”
O’Brien, bagging a seventh winner of the meeting, said: “It’s been a marvellous week, it’s very hard to win races here.
“You’re never sure at the start of the week which way it’s going to go. Some win and some lose, and that’s just the way it is.
“It’s great this horse won and Ryan gave him a great ride.
“We always thought he was a very good horse. Mentally he was just immature and it took him a long time to relax and get into it.
“He’s always had an awful lot of natural ability. He almost showed too much for what he was.
“Hopefully he’ll go on and do what we thought he might do now.”
