Sheffield United will let noisy neighbours Wednesday do the talking off pitch, we’ll show our quality on it

FIVE and a half years in the waiting for the return of one of the most vociferous and intense derbies in English football.

In my opinion, the biggest and most important, but I would say that, wouldn’t I.

It’s safe to say that the Sheffield derby is eagerly anticipated in the birthplace of the beautiful game.

Both teams go into the match with some decent form behind them.

United were unfortunate to lose last time out, but preceding that was four straight wins on our return to the Championship.

It’s our noisy neighbours who are talking the talk before this Sunday’s clash.

You’d make them favourites, and rightly so you’d with the embarrassment of riches that has been at their manager’s disposal over the past couple of years compared to our very own Chris Wilder and they do, of course, have home advantage.

We’ll let them do all the talking pre-match, I think Blades fans are quietly confident, though. We’ve adapted well to life in the Championship.

And, as has been highlighted many times in the build up, look no further than the gaffer and our captain to find diehard Blades.

But there is also some genuine quality in our side!

No stone will be left unturned in that away dressing room come 1:15pm Sunday, that’s for sure.
