San Francisco Delta keeper Romuald Peiser proposes to girlfriend on pitch before New York Cosmo clash

May 03, 2017

SAN FRANCISCO DELTA fans were given a romantic moment to remember after their goalkeeper proposed on the half-way line.

The North American Soccer League team were hosting New York Cosmos at the Kezar Stadium when Romuald Peiser took the opportunity to pop the question.

Peiser took his stunning girlfriend to the middle of the field as the 3,302-strong crowd began to cheer when they realised what was happening.

And luckily for the Frenchman, his partner said yes after he got down on one knee.

Then the excited pair then shared a kiss during the heartwarming moment.

The 37-year-old met now-fiancé Taylor Lincoln during his three years at Ottawa Fury.

But the good luck did not carry over into the match as the Delta’s were defeated 1-0 by the Cosmos.

The loss now leaves the Delta’s in fifth place in the NASL.
