ROY HODGSON says he felt insulted after being mocked by Sam Allardyce.
And the Crystal Palace boss insists it is too late for the Everton manager to apologise.

Allardyce made the derogatory comments about 70-year-old Hodgson to undercover reporters 18 months ago.
The then-England chief referred to his predecessor as “Woy” — mimicking his speech impediment.
And Big Sam also criticised Hodgson’s performance at the Euro 2016 finals in recordings that led to Allardyce being forced to quit the national team after just one game in charge.
Allardyce, 63, has said sorry publicly but Hodgson — who takes his side to Goodison on Saturday — insists Allardyce has never contacted him privately.

And asked if he had been affected by the comments, Hodgson said: “Do you like being insulted? No, not particularly.
“Did it bother me? I didn’t lose any sleep over it.
“My relationship with him before, I always thought was good. Now I would expect it to be less good.”
Hodgson made it clear he is not interested in a face-to-face explanation.

He added: “No, it’s far too late. It has gone. It belongs to the distant past.
“In jobs like I am doing at the moment when you are the manager of a Premier League club, you live very much in the present and the future.”
Palace head north without winger Wilf Zaha, who has been ruled out for a month with a knee ligament injury.
The Eagles have not won a league game without Zaha since September 2016 and Hodgson added: “It’s crucial to get him back as quickly as possible.

“It’s been made extra-crucial by the serious injury to Bakary Sako, who is out for the rest of the season.
“This is a very serious injury crisis we’re suffering from. Can I remember having this many injured at previous clubs? Quite frankly, I can’t.”
Things are hardly going well on Merseyside for Big Sam, whose side have won just once in nine games.
But he insists last week’s 5-1 thrashing at Arsenal was a “blip”.

The Toffees were 4-0 down in 37 minutes and afterwards Allardyce said his team played “c**p”.
He added: “It is one of those blips we have to get over — and get over quick.
“The team have managed to do that. The lads have accepted we were not able to compete with Arsenal.
But we’ve gained more points from being behind than most teams in the league so we don’t always fall foul to a heavy defeat.”
