JUSTIN ROSE and Henrik Stenson will lead Europe off in the Ryder Cup – but Danny Willett has been benched following the row over his brother’s comments.
Rose and Stenson tee off at 1.35pm BST in the first bout of foursomes as they take on Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed before being followed in a blockbuster showdown with Rory McIlroy and rookie Andy Sullivan against Phil Mickelson and Rickie Fowler.
Sergio Garcia will join two-time Major champion Martin Kaymer to take on Jimmy Walker and former Open winner Zach Johnson.
While newboy Thomas Pieters will be joined by Lee Westwood to take on Dustin Johnson and Matt Kuchar.
But Masters champ Willett – who faces a backlash from US fans over comments his brother made – will sit out the first round after being excluded by skipper Darren Clarke.
But the European boss later confirmed he will play a role in the afternoon's fourballs.
