AJ STYLES retained his WWE Championship with a stunning win over Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens in the Royal Rumble opener.
The Phenomenal One stole the win after rolling up his SmackDown Live rival Owens following a highly-contested encounter.

But there was some controversy about the win as it looked like Zayn was the legal man in the ring when Owens was pinned.
The duo were fuming and complained to SmackDown GM Shane McMahon, who did little to brighten their mood and laughed their complaints off.
Owens and Zayn used their numerical advantage well to start, tagging in and out quickly, freshening up as Styles struggled to strike.
The champ used his superior skill well as the match progressed, with beautiful use of his high-flying ability.
