Ronaldo Vieira lands new 4-year deal as Leeds keep one of the Championship’s top starlets

LEEDS’ hot young talent Ronaldo Vieira has signed a new four-year contract.

The 18-year-old midfielder is already a key player at the Championship club just 12 months after making his senior debut.

And Elland Road boss Garry Monk wants the Bissau-born starlet to help lead a push for at least the play-offs next season.

Leeds flirted with the top five for much of this term but finished seventh, six points off the play-off zone.

Vieira, meanwhile, has been called up for the England Under-20 tournament and is likely to play in the Toulon Tournament this month.

His new deal ties him to Leeds until the end of the 2020-21, skysports.com report.

Vieira was raised in Portugal and joined Benfica in 2009.

But he left for England two years later, playing for junior clubs before unsuccessful trials with Manchester City and Hull.
Leeds pounced and now he has commonly rated as a Premier League star of the future.
