Incredibly, Lukaku has widened the gap to his nearest rival – crocked Harry Kane – to four goals.

But not only is he streets clear of Kane, Alexis Sanchez, Diego Costa and Zlatan Ibrahimovic… Lukaku has even scored more goals than the entire Middlesbrough team.

The Belgian has six games left - compared to Boro's seven - to try and match the feat managed by some of the best striker's to ever grace the Premier League.

Thierry Henry and Ruud van Nistelrooy joined James Beattie in scoring more than Sunderland in the 2002-03 season.

Van Nistelrooy netted 25, Henry 24 and Beattie 23 compared to the Black Cats' 21 that season.

Henry was at it again in the 2005-06 season when his 27 goals topped Sunderland's season tally of 26.

Another three stars outscored the Derby team in 2007-08, with Emmanuel Adebayor, Cristiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres comfortably beating the Rams.

Luis Suarez then netted 31 times in the 'SAS' season for Liverpool - beating Norwich's tally of 28.

But can Lukaku keep this up? Or will Middlesbrough seek some consolation this term with a few, surely now consolation, goals?
