Romelu Lukaku becomes Everton’s highest ever Premier League scorer after his late strike against Tottenham
WHEN Everton looked dead and buried at 2-0 down against Tottenham on Sunday, there was only one man Ronald Koeman could rely on to kickstart his team.
That man of course being Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku.

After halving the deficit, Lukaku sparked a frantic final ten minutes, with each side going on to score once more in added time as Spurs ran out 3-2 winners.
The win may have closed the gap between Mauricio Pochettino‘s men and Chelsea to just seven points and may be remembered for yet another Kane brace, but spare a thought for Lukaku.

In fact, in scoring against Tottenham, the big Belgian became Everton's all-time leading Premier League scorer... aged just 23.
After joining on loan from the Blues in 2013-14, he would go on to score 15 goals in 31 games that year, before penning a permanent deal at Goodison Park.
Since then, the goal have just kept flowing, netting 18 last season from his 37 games - already matching that incredible feat this season, with 11 games to play.
Romelu Lukaku has now scored 61 Premier League goals for EvertonReuters
Lukaku has notched his 61 goals from just 175 Premier League games, breaking the 60-goal record set by Duncan Ferguson.
The Everton icon had managed that feat from 239 games, beating Tim Cahill's 56 strikes in 226 games.
Former Arsenal man Kevin Campbell scored 45 in 145 tgames, while Leon Osman was one goal further back on 44 goals, from 352 games.
Romelu Lukaku is now a summer target for a host of European giants, including ChelseaGetty Images
Penalty-specialist David Unsworth rounds off the top six with 33 strikes from 102 games.
While Lukaku may be the name on everyone's lips in the blue half of Merseyside, Ronald Koeman will know he faces a fight to keep hold of his star man in the summer.
Former club Chelsea are just one of Europe's giants set to make a mega-money bid for the now-record-breaking forward...
