ROMA president Jim Pallotta has slammed the Champions League, claiming Liverpool hat a hatful of key decisions swing in their favour in the 7-6 semi-final thriller.
Pallotta bemoaned the lack of video replays for what he perceived to be big calls going against his side on Wednesday night.

Liverpool edged the tie 7-6 on aggregate after conceding twice late on to lose 4-2 at the Stadio Olimpico.
After losing the first leg 5-2 at Anfield, Roma looked down and out at 2-1 at home, only for an astonishing late rally to put the Italians just one goal away from forcing extra-time.
But it wasn’t to be as the Reds clung on to set up a final against Real Madrid in Kiev on May 26.
Speaking of some questionable refereeing decisions after the game, Pallotta barked: “It is very clear VAR is needed in the Champions League.

“You just can’t let stuff like this happen. You can all look at it yourself.

“I know it is difficult to ref but it is really embarrassing that we lose on aggregate like that.
“By the way, it should have been a red card which would have been ten men in the 63rd minute.
“Liverpool are a great team, congratulations going forward, but if they don’t get VAR in the Champions League stuff like this is an absolute joke.”
Meanwhile, Roma sporting director Monchi had his say on the discussion, adding: “It changes everything.

“We conceded a goal that was offside in the first leg, here we had two penalties not given, one of which was a clear red card.
“It’s time to raise our voices, not just Roma either, as Juventus suffered the same against Real Madrid.
“Italian football has to raise its voice, because what we saw tonight was shocking.
“It’s playing with the hearts of all the fans. We have to compliment Liverpool for their qualification, but also need to evaluate how it happened.”
