Robert Snodgrass: Middlesbrough want to deal Hull City a huge blow by pinching their Scottish ace

MIDDLESBROUGH boss Aitor Karanka leads the race to sign unsettled Hull star Robert Snodgrass.

The Scotland star, 29, is also a West Ham target but Boro insiders say that Karanka is confident he will pick them.

Boro will offer about £10million for the winger but Karanka is letting the Hammers do the running before he commits.

The Teesiders are willing to let Stewart Downing go and free up wages to tempt Snodgrass — and Crystal Palace boss Sam Allardyce wants Downing in a No 10 role after signing Jeffrey Schlupp to add pace out wide.

West Ham are also tracking Senegal wideman Papa Ndiaye, who plays for Turkish side Osmanlispor but wants to come to the Premier League.
