LIVERPOOL will be challenging for the Premier League this season, according to their target Robert Lewandowski.
The Bayern Munich hitman, who played under Jurgen Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, has talked up his former manager, giving hope that he could eventually be reunited with him at Anfield.

The Polish striker has, however, said that Manchester City, managed by another of his former managers in Pep Guardiola, will “not make it easy” for anyone else to clinch the title.

Lewandowski told Goal.com: “Under Klopp I think they will be fighting for the title this season.
“Pep and Manchester City will not make it easy for anybody to win the title, but Liverpool have a real chance.

“Without European football it can really help them with being fresh for games and with injuries and, even though Klopp is always smiling, he is ruthless enough to take advantage of that.”
Both Man City and Liverpool have lost one game so far this term and just two points separate the sides.
