RICKY HATTON decided to relax and unwind with the boys in Tenerife before his big boxing job next month.
The former two-weight world champ was pictured having a drink with pals (and one lucky lady) in what looked like gloomy skies on the largest of Spain’s Canary Islands.

As a boxer he was a man of the people, and he showed retirement hasn’t changed this as he posed for photos with those who recognised him.
This was despite opting for a look that wouldn’t stand out – an oversized black shirt and white shorts.
But with Britain basking in temperatures of around 25 degrees Celsius in the last few days, the 39-year-old may have picked the wrong time to take a vacation.
Then again, he could have just needed some R’n’R before his big date back in the boxing limelight.

Hatton, who switched to promoting after retiring in 2012, is expected to be in Tyson Fury’s corner for his big comeback fight.
Fury will take on Sefer Seferi on June 9 at the Manchester Arena.

The 29-year-old hasn’t fought since dethroning Wladimir Klitschko in November 2015, and will put his unbeaten record on the line against the Albanian knockout specialist.
Tyson’s main coach is Ben Davison, who is also a good friend, but Hatton is expected to be on hand to offer his expertise on the night.

Hatton told MEN Sport: “Ben and Tyson know I’m behind them 100 per cent. If they want me in the corner I’m there on their shoulder any time they want.
“Ben’s a very young, intelligent, ambitious coach. He’s always got my ear that he can whisper in if he needs a bit of advice, plus Tyson has got a lot of boxing knowledge himself.
“Tyson has been heavyweight champions of the world. He wouldn’t have employed Ben if he didn’t think he was capable of it. He’s adding to what Peter Fury gave Tyson.
“Everyone will say I’m biased but Tyson has come back with a vengeance and more determined than ever.
“It’s a pleasure seeing someone get back to the condition he has done, and it makes me a proud Mancunian.”
