The Premier League bigwig also received a big bonus in 2013PA:Press Association
Sky Sports and BT battled it out for the coverage and paid a record amount to show England’s top division over the next few seasons.
And Scudamore, the Premier League‘s executive chairman, was the crucial go-between who brokered the historic deal – and has been rewarded with the massive bonus as a result.
In 2013, he was awarded £4.5m for similar TV rights negotiations.
The figure was decided by the Premier League's remuneration committee which included Chelsea chairman Bruce Buck, Stoke owner Peter Coates, Sunderland's Ellis Short and Manchester City director John Williams.
