THE clocks have gone back so UK racing starts much earlier nowadays with Redcar getting us started at 12 noon.
That race is impossible to fathom so we’ll wait until their 1.05 to join the Crystal Palace faithful with a few quid on WE’RE IMPROVING (4/1) who is hopefully doing exactly what it says on the tin after a couple of placed finishes.

Despite her vast wealth Coleen Rooney is yet to enjoy the thrill of racehorse ownership but she could do worse than to back HOLIDAY GIRL (3/1) in Redcar’s 2.50 race.
This horse has hit the crossbar a few times without winning, which is more than can be said for Coleen’s hubby at Everton.
The 2.40 at Ayr will unfortunately remind the amateur golfers amongst us of another lousy weekend but WELL ABOVE PAR (5/1) can ease the pain by chipping in.
If it’s all going wrong we’ll seek divine intervention in the next race North of the border (3.15) by siding with THE BISHOP (9/1) who won at Ayr back in March and looks overpriced for an each way play.

They’re racing too at Leicester and Oxford University toffs will be looking for DARK BLUE (7/1) to score in the 12.15 having won well recently.
Finally on the same Leicester card the 1.20 can go to TOP TUG (4/1) who will go well providing there’s no more rain.
He loses his action unless conditions are reasonably firm and fingers crossed today’s the day.
