Real Madrid transfer news: Pepe to Paris Saint-Germain almost complete following advanced contract talks

REAL MADRID star Pepe is reportedly on the verge of joining Paris Saint-Germain.

The defender is out of contract this summer and has been strongly linked with a move to the Chinese Super League.

Raphael Varane has finally ousted Pepe from the starting XI and it appears the Portuguese ace has no way back under Zinedine Zidane.

This has led to strong interest from PSG, with Cadena Ser via GFFN claiming that Pepe already has ‘one foot in the door’ after holding advanced transfer talks.

Should the veteran indeed leave the Santiago Bernabeu, it would mean that Real need a new centre-back this summer.

However, top prospects Diego Llorente and Jesus Vallejo are set to return from respective loan spells at Malaga and Frankfurt.

Nacho has proven himself capable of playing anywhere across the backline.

And Zidane could opt to promote one of his youngsters after reportedly agreeing a £20million deal for Atletico Madrid left-back Theo Hernandez.

The Frenchman is regarded as one of the best whizkids in Europe but his arrival will end Fabio Coentrao’s adventure in the Spanish capital.
