Real Madrid star James Rodriguez ‘rejects Inter Milan for £37m move to Manchester United this summer’

JAMES RODRIGUEZ has rejected a £37million move to Inter Milan, according to reports.

The Colombian has been linked with a move away from Real Madrid after falling out of favour with boss Zinedine Zidane.

And Spanish publication AS are reporting that the Italian giants made a bid for Rodriguez  but he has turned down their advances.

They also claim interest from Manchester United also influenced Rodriguez’s decision to reject a move to Serie A.

It goes on to say the former Porto star has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford in the summer.

Rodriquez is waiting to see if Jose Mourinho comes in with a bid and their qualification to the Champions League has made him more likely to say yes.

But United do not want to be brought into a bidding war and could look elsewhere if his price becomes inflated.

The 25-year-old playmaker is contracted until 2020, but has struggled to live up to his £60million price tag since his move to Spain from Monaco after the World Cup in 2014.

Los Blancos boss Zinedine Zidane has left the Colombian on the bench for most of the campaign and his exit this summer looks inevitable.

Rodruguez has only started 13 La Liga games this season and his goal in the win against Granada looks like his final act as a Los Blancos player.
