United boss Jose Mourinho starts phase two of his squad overhaul this summer, with Antoine Greizmann and Monaco star Bernarndo Silva already reportedly close to moving to Old Trafford.

A potential deal for the Colombian international will be another statement of intent from Mourinho, looking to take United back to the summit of English and European football.

Rodriguez came off the bench to score against Barcelona in the 3-2 loss at the Bernabeu on Sunday, but is not expected to start in the Champions League semi-final against city rivals Atletico next month.

United take on Manchester City at the Etihad on Thursday, knowing a win will take them above Pep Guardiola's side into the top four.
