Real Madrid’s £20m signing Theo Hernandez fails to do six kick-ups at unveiling ceremony

REAL MADRID’S latest summer signing failed to justify his £20m price label after fluffing his attempt to do kick-ups at his Bernabeu unveiling.

The 19-year-old managed an uncomfortable six keepie-ups before catching the ball and waving to the fans as if nothing had happened.

Hernandez became the first player to make the cross-city move from Atletico to Real Madrid in 17 years, but his unveiling left a lot to be desired.

As he posed in front of the cameras for the first time in his Madrid colours, fans did not expect what was coming next.

The defender kicks the ball high into the air to cap off a rather anticlimactic reveal.

Despite looking unable to control a football, the youngster oozed confidence as he paraded around his new stadium.

Madrid fans should not be too alarmed by his shaky start, as the youngster established himself as on Europe's most promising prospects last term.

Theo Hernandez has said that he is "very happy to be at the best club in the world" after completing his transfer.

It was a similar story for Gareth Bale when he stepped out onto Bernabeu soil for the first time in 2013.

The Madrid forward done a little more than six keep-ups, but the nerves were evident.

Hernandez will be looking to put this underwhelming unveiling behind him and prepare for the International Champions Cup.

However, he will need to improve if he wants to make his mark on the well knit, double-winning side of last year.
