Under Armour aims to take the football world by storm with branding and has aimed to offer Real Madrid 40 million more incentives than Adidas.

Real Madrid have been with Adidas since 1998 and according to Marca.com are unhappy with their current agreement reportedly worth €40m-a-year (£34m).

Under Armour is currently worn by Tottenham and sports stars Andy Murray, Jordan Speith, Michael Phelps, Tom Brady and Stephen Curry.

Manchester United are sponsored by Adidas after they signed a 10-year deal worth £750m in 2014.

However Barcelona’s deal with Nike is the record so far as the Catalan giants make at least 155m euros (£140m) a season from 2018.
