I CAN’T help thinking that there will be a changing of the guard in the Champions League.
Our teams are only going to get stronger and could dominate over the next four or five years.

Hopefully, Liverpool win it this year then that will be the catalyst for lots more success for our big teams.
The Premier League has the best managers in the world and many of the world’s leading stars ply their trade here.
With the financial power our clubs have, they will continue to compete for the best talent on the market.
Barcelona and Real Madrid had an aura about them that put fear into teams… but not anymore.

Roma showed the world that Lionel Messi’s Barcelona are not invincible and Real only scraped home against Juventus.
If our top teams hang onto their big stars then they can have sustained success in Europe.
INCREDIBLE BULK How Cristiano Ronaldo went from skinny teen to Hercules through high-intensity exercise regime and no alcohol
No doubt the Spanish giants will try to cherry pick our top players, but it won’t be as easy as it is now.
And that’s why I believe we are experiencing a change in power.

The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Mohamed Salah, Harry Kane, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang will all be targets for Barcelona and Real Madrid.
But our teams will not want to sell because all of them can see that European glory is up for grabs.
Superstars like Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo are still great players, but they are ageing and the next generation are waiting to take the mantle.

I think we’ll find that the Spanish giants are not guaranteed success and they are not the only teams paying the big salaries.
There is going to be a battle for the best talent and our teams are ready to compete for the signatures and not weaken themselves by selling.
