Puerto Rico FC defender crashes into post and suffers the most horrifically painful injury trying to save a goal
PHIL BABB may have made over 370 appearances in a distinguished career that saw him play for the likes of Liverpool, Coventry and Sporting Lisbon.
But he is mainly remembered for that that infamous last-ditch attempt to stop Chelsea from scoring at Anfield in 1998, smashing his gonads into the goalpost in the process.

Well a fellow professional channelled his inner Babb last weekend while playing for Puerto Rico FC in the North American Soccer League (the second tier of US football).
Opponents Miami FC, bizarrely managed by Italian legends Alessandro Nesta and Paolo Maldini, were 1-0 to the good when former Ajax striker Dario Cvitanich slid the ball towards an unguarded net.

Poor Ramon Martin Del Campo was racing back to try and save the goal, launched a last-ditch attempt to clear the ball - but unfortunately, he missed. Badly.
The shot found the net, and Del Campo found only the post in this tear-inducing video.

Thankfully the 23-year-old appeared to be OK and was seen later in the match - but luckless Puerto Rico FC still lost the game and are bottom of the table.
