There is still a month to go before the transfer window slams shut and the signs are that spending will break the £1billion barrier for the first time ever.
At the moment it is Liverpool who lead the way in the spending charts, having forked out £63.2m as Jurgen Klopp rebuilds his squad at Anfield.

Sadio Mane is their biggest signing at £34m, while the capture of Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle last week cost a further £25m.
Chelsea are second in the investment stakes so far, using £62m of Roman Abramovich's money to capture N'Golo Kante from Leicester and Michy Batshuayi from Marseille.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has already admitted that transfer fees are now crazy, but he is still planning to open the chequebook again before August is out.

Then come United, who have invested £60m on Eric Bailly and Henrikh Mkhitaryan, with Zlatan Ibrahimovich also joining on a free transfer.
They will leap clear at the top once Pogba's move is finalised with the club finally agreeing the agent's fee of Mino Raiolo - the last stumbling block in the deal.
A sign of the modern era can be seen at clubs like Bournemouth who have already paid £28.15m on new players since the end of last season.
And the spending is only going to increase over the coming few weeks as managers finalise their squads before the window closes at 11pm on August 31.
