BELIEVE it or not, we’re approaching the business end of another enthralling Premier League season.
It seems like just yesterday a triumphant Leicester stunned the globe to lift the trophy.

But now, with Claudio Ranieri axed and winter now behind us, it’s time to look ahead to what should be a thrilling climax to the 2016-17 campaign.
Keep up to date with ALL the football news, gossip, transfers and goals on our club page plus fixtures, results and live match commentary.
But it’s not just team silverware up for grabs of course, as it’s time to focus on which players deserve to be recognised for their outstanding season.
With that in mind, SunSport’s team of football experts have their say on who should be named Footballer of the Year.

Read what they had to say, before casting your own vote in our poll...
Charlie Wyett - N'Golo Kante
Outstanding - and should also have won it last season.
Dave Kidd - N'Golo Kante
If Kante isn't Footballer of the Year after the influence he's had on Chelsea - and conversely on Leicester - then they ought to change the award's name to Forward of the Year and admit that it's all about the highlights package they show on awards night.
Dan King - Diego Costa
Costa has lost some of the dark side and petulance but retained the deadliness in front of goal which is firing Chelsea to the title.

Neil Custis - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
In tandem with Jose Mourinho, Ibrahimovic has got Manchester United going again.
Andy Dillon - Victor Wanyama
A bulldozing, defensive midfielder but with the mobility of an F1 racing car.
Mark Irwin - N'Golo Kante
Should have won it last season, will definitely win it this time.

Tom Barclay - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
He has made all the English sceptics eat their words and brought United back to the forefront of our game doing it.
All at a time when many players have retired!
Richard Pelham - Eden Hazard
Simply unplayable.
A complete turnaround from last season under Jose. Form is seasonal but class is permanent, as Hazard has proven.
Mike McGrath - N'Golo Kante
He has been the biggest difference in the title race - and Leicester's demise has shown how important he was to them.

Graeme Bryce - N'Golo Kante
It's no coincidence his move from Leicester to Chelsea had a seismic effect on both clubs - as Claudio Ranieri knows to his cost, Kante ploughs through the work of two men.
David Coverdale - N'Golo Kante
It is no coincidence Chelsea have soared and Leicester have struggled since his summer switch.
It is also high time a defensive-minded player was rewarded.
Dave Fraser - N'Golo Kante
Easily the best midfielder in the Premier League and without him, Chelsea wouldn't be half the force they are under Antonio Conte, allowing stars such as Hazard and Costa to thrive.

Dan Cutts - N'Golo Kante
The best midfielder in the Premier League by some distance this season, and arguably the best in his position in the world.
Alex Peake - David Luiz
Kante and Costa have been exceptional, Zlatan is unquestionably box office but Luiz has transformed himself from joke figure to the rock at the heart of the defence for the champions elect.
Duncan Wright - N'Golo Kante
Could actually be better than Claude Makelele. If anyone else wins it is nonsense.

Toby Gannon - N'Golo Kante
So rarely does a defensive-minded midfielder get credit where it is due.
His tireless effort and teamwork is the reason Chelsea are able to attack so well.
Andrew Richardson - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
Signed on a free and has been Manchester United's best player by far.
Has brought the winning mentality back to Old Trafford and his two-goal showing in the EFL Cup final could prove to be key in years to come
Jamie Gordon - David Luiz
Unbelievably the error-prone Brazilian has proved the key defensive cog since Antonio Conte's switch to a back-three.
His aggressive style and willingness to join attacks are huge assets and he has cut out most of the mistakes.

Paul Jiggins - N'Golo Kante
My reason for picking Kante is for him being the only member of Leicester’s historic title-winning squad not to rest on his laurels and play like a champion again this season at Chelsea.
Ben Hunt - N’Golo Kante
It's easy to underestimate the 25-year-old due to his size, but he was the driving force behind Leicester’s success and now in the engine room for Chelsea.
Hard-working, tough-tackling and down to earth, too.
Neil Ashton - Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The Swede is the ultimate pro; dedicated, disciplined and a credit to his sport.
RESULTS

N'Golo Kante - 12
Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 4
David Luiz - 2
Diego Costa - 1
Eden Hazard - 1
Victor Wanyama - 1
