The football season might be over with no major international tournament to look forward to, but the next season isn’t too far away.
And that means fantasy football will be back on the agenda with the Dream Team game for the 2017/18 season set to be the best one yet.

When can I sign up?
You can start getting your teams in as early as July 3 2017 – a massive six weeks before the Premier League season even gets underway.
That leaves you an awful long time to deliberate and mull over who your picks might be.

The closing date for the season game, therefore, will be the first day of the campaign on August 12 2017.
What’s different this season?
Well the main difference between Dream Team this season and last season is that entry is absolutely free for all managers, with the golden prize pot at the end of the rainbow a whopping £750,000.
There’s also a massive shake up on the Game Week front, with Game Weeks running from Friday to Thursday in 2017/18.

How does it work?
Simple really.
For each team you must:
- Select only eligible players from the player lists provided
- The total value of the 11 players at time of entry must not exceed £50 million. Variable player pricing will dictate whether a player goes up or down periodically based upon their performance and other factors.

Each team must have one of two playing formations:
- 442 - a goalkeeper, four defenders, four midfielders and two strikers; or
- 433 - a goalkeeper, four defenders, three midfielders and three strikers
Who should I pick?
Alexis Sanchez was the game’s top points scorer in 2016/17 after a stunning individual season for Arsenal, scoring 26 goals and racking up 13 assists in all competitions.
But the Chilean had the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Sergio Aguero and Christian Eriksen hot on his heels for the accolade.

Attacking players, by virtue of actually putting the ball in the back of the net, tend to score juicier points wise, but clean sheets are just as important so you can’t neglect the trusty goalkeepers either.
What other games can I enter?
As well as the traditional season game, Dream Team Weekender and Dream Team Europe are also back to give you two other options to win a shed load of money.
So whether it’s Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne or Philippe Coutinho who you back to lead you to glory, there’s plenty of opportunities to shine.
