PREMIER LEAGUE clubs have found the latest way to rake in extra cash – advertising on their shirt sleeves.
Eight top-flight teams have worked out a deal with Sporting Group International to put a logo on the arms of their kits on the opposite side to the Premier League badge.

The deal means Manchester United, who earn £47million-a-year from Chevrolet, could add around 20 per cent extra to their deal.

But smaller clubs will take in less cash, meaning the average annual; income would be around £2.3m.
SGI CEO Adrian Wright told The Mirror: “It’s the first time in EPL history the sleeve can be sold and, hopefully, it will be the first time that one brand has been seen on multiple shirts from potentially eight to 10 clubs.”

Some clubs have deals preventing them from adding a secondary badge on their shirt and will be unable to take advantage of the new revenue stream.
But those who do opt in will have the right arm of their shirt dedicated to SGI advertising, with the left sleeve displaying the Prem logo as usual.
