Premier League clubs could snoop on players as investigative firm wants to bring big brother methods into football
PREMIER LEAGUE clubs could be set to snoop on their own players as an investigative firm wants to bring big brother methods into football.
The firm, Kroll, claims close surveillance could have highlighted the behaviour of ex-Sunderland man Adam Johnson before he was jailed.

They added Everton would have had the chance to stop Wayne Rooney‘s booze-fuelled evening earlier this month early doors with the proposed measures.
A delegation from Kroll pitched their plan to the Association of Football Agents earlier this week – led by former FA chief executive Alex Horne.
The firm say a forensic study of material on social media could allow clubs and player agents to look after their stars better.
Further still, they would be able to provide early warning to potential dangers on the horizon.
While Prem players would likely react with fury to the idea of being tracked, Kroll claim it is the club’s right.
They say given the wages the stars are paid, clubs deserve such a safeguard.

It's worth noting the proposed plan from Kroll only monitors players' social media actions and not their entire internet habits.
Despite that, it's unlikely the Premier League's best and brightest - many of whom are frequent social media users - will be thrilled with the news.
